NEW SCIENCE CAMP AT CONCORDIA

 

The Faculty of Science is in the process of developing a 4 day science camp (Adventures in Science) for kids ages 6-12.  Tentative dates for the camp are August 7-10.  The camp will run from 8:00am to 5:00pm each day with dropoff and pickup times included.  For more information contact Dr. Mariola Janowicz at 780-479-9263.

 

The BES 318 fieldtrip will be offered again in the Summer of 2012.  All interested students should contact Dr. Dalton for details.

 

The Dept. of Biology and Environmental science would like to congratulate the 24th Graduating Class of Concordia University College (2011).  Twenty one students crossed the stage to receive their BSc. degree in either Biology or Environmental Science.  We wish you success on yours future endeavours.

From this years biology and environmental science graduating class, six students are furthering their education; one student is off to medical school, one student to dental school, two students to optometry school and two students to graduate school.  Congratulation again for your accomplishments.

CONCORDIA’S SPRING 2012 OPEN HOUSE IS SATURDAY MARCH 10th FROM 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

THE BIOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE LABORATORY DEMONSTRATIONS ARE SETUP IN GUILD HALL BASEMENT G103.  STUDENTS AND STAFF ARE AVAILABLE  IN THE LAB TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS.

Spring Session Courses 2011

BIO 100 Introduction to Biological Systems.  A lecture - lab course intented for student not majoring in biology or environmental science. 

Lecture May 2nd – June 10th Mon/Wed 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Laboratory May 3rd – June 7th Tue 6:00pm to 9:00pm

 

WELCOME EASTGLEN HIGHSCHOOL

The Biology and Environmental science dept. will host Eastglen High School Biology 20 and 30 classes on May 10-12th, 2011.  Students will be performing  biology laboratory exercises on campus.
